Weatherhead is an industrial compilation of Telegrammetry records, a new label in the industry, mainly focusing in the US electro-industrial scene. This specific release is good opportunity for someone to meet the US electronic underground scene which so much differs from the European one. Even if only one band (Suburban Prototype) actually belongs in Telegrammetry roster, B.A.LaRed gathered some of the most promising bands in order to successfully compile this cd, which has already met great reviews forcing him to work on the second episode which will be available soon…“Weatherhead II”. 10 USA band songs, a Canadian and a German one compile what I like to call a good sample cd where the USA industrial stigma is obvious. It will only take few seconds for FLAWED ( listen ) to remind you the old good sound of Nine Inch Nails with hard drums and electric guitars till HAVEN SOLE ( listen ) will make you wonder about their wonderful atmosphere and its fascinated gothic vocals duet. A total of 10 songs from this releases that will see the day of light somewhere in 2006 as well as some fantastic old songs such as the one from TAXIM ( listen ) a dark aggressive electronic song, truly the masterpiece of this CD. Overall, I am very pleased with Weatherhead for two reasons. First because we are dealing with people who love music and this can only bring success to the scene and second because B.A.LaRed has an excellent taste in music. And what a nice combination this is. |
