ImageI’ll get directly into the point with this one. “You are my all and More” is the highlight of the underground electronic music for 2005. Hailling from United Kingdom and after the release of their debut e.p “no protocol” which gathered numerous positive reviews around the Internet, Autoclav1.1 jumped into Crunchpod records (www.crunchpod.com) and returns with their brand new Cd titled “You are my all and more”. When Tony announced the new album title, suffering the loss of his friend Frank, I was sure that this release would be all about powerful feelings such as sadness or love. This was confirmed till the second track of the cd “this is the hollow point” was over, but let’s start with the review.
Autoclav1.1 shows maturity, a total different band from the one we met on No Protocol ep. To me “You are my all and more” is one of the most completed and mature works in 2005, a presentation of the underground electro-scene covering a wide range of music from idm and break core to atmospheric electronic and ambient. From slow electronic pads and atmospheres one can only found on Gridlock releases, to fast breakbeats and noise industrial sounds in such a way that no matter how many times I listen to one song or if I randomly change tracks, I always end up with tears in my eyes. The first part of the Cd ends with the fantastic 10th track “When to care” continuing with five remixes from Pneumatic Detach,Slacknote, Eva/3, Noise Girl and Iszolosacope. To conclude this is definitely not an album for everyone. Not musically wise but emotionally wise. Frank is not dead. He is alive into this music, waiting to dance with you through this world. I am sure that he will travel the world around with Tony and Autoclav1.1. in the very near future.
