I have never been a massive fan of the previous works of Ebola but was intrigued to see if there were any evident changes with his camp style wise since the last outing that I heard. Much to my surprise this is something I can wholeheartedly say I appreciate and enjoy. Opening with ‘Painkillers’ MDSV1 draws on a variety of influences and the first that came to mind is the rich sub driven warping bass sounds that I feast on from the likes of the amazing ‘Scorn’. This is straight down that territory and holds up well against Mick Harris and co. |

This up and coming label certainly do have some surprises in store if this debut release from Blackfilm is anything to go by. Beautifully packaged in a simple unobtrusive digipak with stunning artwork certainly whetted my appetite and there was more on store when I hit ‘play’. I was half expecting the usual IDM affair. I was in for a shock. Blackfilm is a gloriously organic journey with a different slant on the emotional pulling of heart strings. Let me explain.... |

A novel approach to the standard remix album. Rather than a collection of Flint Glass works remixed by other artists, this is Gwenn’s approach to other artists within the scene. As we know nowadays a standard remix isn’t merely changing levels on a track, it’s a complete re-work. As such this should be a different affair to the norm, and I was very interested as to what FG would bring to the table. Having heard most of the artists on show before this did help when gathering together the different perspectives and evolutions of the tracks laid before me. |

If by reading this review you have to ask who the hell SPK are, then you really are in the wrong place. Receiving a DVD from arguably one of the most influential true Industrial artists on the planet is enough to whet anyone’s appetite, and I was over the moon when this dropped through my letterbox. Unfortunately the smile ended there. I am a big fan of this Australian mob’s early works, and without them there wouldn’t be a hell of a lot of the acts you listen to today. Given that this DVD is made up of bootleg video copies of early live shows this should be a real treat. Bizarre death camp mutilations and the like are mixed into these live performances and there is a warning on the sleeve that this could offend. |

Once in a while something full of promise comes along. It’s not often a debut album can literally grab my attention by the throat and refuse to let go of its stronghold. Subheim is the project of Greek composer Kostas K, and it’s also not often we see music of this ilk from the sunny shores that brought us Alexander the Great and the mighty Zeus. It’s also possible that in a musical sense at least, we could have the makings of another future legend here if he carries on like this. Approach is a deeply evocative and immersive exploration of ambience, IDM, subtle electronica and post rock that occasionally flirts with shoe gazing. |

Patient Canadian Jairus Kkan has finally found an outlet for his music, and about time too. Bone Music is a cracking blend of Industrial, distorted beat splattered with flashes of orchestral and soundtrack structures. What first hits you is just how organic this album sounds. This is all helped along of course by the mastering work of Iszoloscope’s Yann Faussurier and with some of the rhythmical patterns dished out you could be forgiven for sometimes being reminded of his fellow Canadian. That can be no bad thing though and is also a credible endorsement. |

Its been six years since Jon Ray’s debut release. It’s when things take this long that you know they had better be good. There can be no half measures, no corners can be cut. So, is Skincage as sharp as it should be? This depends on what you want to cut. The main beast of the album is formulated with home made and broken instruments, which is quite fitting with the destructive and repressive nature that this second album claws at. |

AUTOCLAV1.1 signs to Tympanik Audio for album release in June 2008: Autoclav1.1, aka Tony Young, will release his 3rd full-length album on the U.S. label Tympanik Audio in June 2008.
The album is titled "Love No Longer Lives Here" and will feature 11 new tracks including collaborations with ESA (Electronic Substance Abuse) and Cradle of Filth. This marks a fresh chapter in the Autoclav1.1 story and can be described as inky-black night-time music full of powerful emotions and blatant honesty. Autoclav1.1 has enjoyed previous successful releases for Crunchpod and Hive Records and now brings his unique fusion of IDM, Broken Beats, Industrial, and Electronica to the rapidly-expanding new U.S. label Tympanik Audio.

Talvekoidik was completely unknown to me till BRUME Records sent me his debut release titled "Silent reflections" and as i have mentioned few times in the past, these are the moments I am lucky I am running a music magazine because it gives me the opportunity to listen rare high quality releases like the one Talvekoidik released. There is not a specific music genre that can describe Talvekoidik. Ofcourse their main element is electronic but putting this tag would be unfair for the band and the readers of this magazine. What I admire most to this release is the excellent combination of the highly sophisticated and experimental drums, the unique melodies of the classical instrumentations (from pianos and cellos to violins and trumpets), the dark atmosphere and the deep sub-basses which cleaverly highlights the feelings of the artist through his silent journey in a music pandemonium that you will rarely hear from other bands of it's kind. |

Available now from Tympanik Audio is the definitive remix collection by one of the most prolific and under-rated dark electro acts in operation, the talented Slovakian duo Disharmony. Fresh off the heels of their fantastic 3rd album, last year's 'Malignant Shields' on Aliens Production, Disharmony compiles their most beloved remixes for such artists as Polygon, Flint Glass, Mnemonic, Deadjump, Sara Noxx, Stendeck, Fractional and more, including new, rare, and unreleased tracks, into one fantastic collection of music. |
